Something we've experienced (not very likely) is that there was brocade failures within the chassis losing both fabrics. Ports were up but no data coming in or going out - like it's lost its "routing" and does not know what to do. Host eventually isolates itself and falls over. So we're not trying to cater for a full SAN failure, rather the instance of should we lose SAN connectivity from a chassis perspective, we would like to protect ourselves should this happen to certain hosts in a cluster, that those VM's could indeed actually fail over to other hosts with some type of HA / VM Monitoring setting (silver bullet )
