Hi Jon,
Your recommendation sounds like it might resolve the issues I was having when trying to permanently switch to a SCSI disk but now I'm having a new problem. Wouldn't you know it but now that I've increased the disk size from 60gb to 90gb I can no longer open the disk in vi. I get a "vi: out of memory" error which I read can be caused by the /var path not having enough free space. Unfortunately I have no idea how to resolve this issue to allow me to edit the vmdk so I'm doing some digging to see if I can figure out how to resolve this issue.
Thanks for the ideas and recommendations.
