Re: Host only virtual network interface picks up wrong dhcp ip from server

I would agree with your assessment if it were not for the fact that one of the 3 virtual machines with linux correctly picks up the dhcp lease on the 10. network. However when I get home tonight I will assign the bridged nic in my router to have a static ip reserved to be thorough. There is no chance the virtual nic is configured as NAT. I have tried selecting the radio button that says host only as well as selecting the actual vmnet1 that says it is for host only. So I can say for sure it isn't a settings issue with the vm network adapter. It seems odd though that an already assigned ip from the router to my nic would allow a vm client to basically crawl back along my router assigned ip and try and get a new dhcp lease assigned. The other item of interest is if it was in case getting a ip dhcp lease from the router then the client would still have access to the cloud. Which the clients do not. They don't see the 10 network at all...but ifconfig shows 192.168.11.31 as one of the ips...my router is not subnetted like this...
