Try this using the attached file

Run the attached mbrfix utility with the following commands (0 is the first drive in the system, usually the boot drive): 

MbrFix?? /drive 0 listpartitions MbrFix?? /drive 0 generatesignature

Reboot twice, then try the vssadmin command again.
